What is "auto coverage" feature? •

The Hextom AI Translate & Currency app (formerly Translate My Store) supports two translation types:
  • Basic Translation: Automatic, real-time translations that cannot be edited.
  • Advanced Translation: Fully editable translations using tools such as manual edits, AI & Autopilot, import/export, and visual editing.

When to Use Auto Coverage?

Advanced translation is more flexible and sophisticated. It is the preferred translation type to use. However, users may sometimes not be able to complete translations for all languages in time, resulting in untranslated portions of the website. To address this issue, the Auto Coverage feature is available, which uses Basic translation to cover any untranslated text on the website.

Example: If you’ve manually translated most of your French store but some new product descriptions are still untranslated, Auto Coverage will fill in the gaps with Basic Translation until you add your manual translations.

How to Enable Auto Coverage

You can enable the auto coverage feature by:


  1. Click the ‘Markets’ option in the menu.



  2. Choose the language you want to cover with Auto Coverage. In this example, we’ll select French.



  3. Click the ‘More Actions’ button, then select ‘Enable Auto Coverage.'



Once enabled, Basic Translation will automatically cover any untranslated text for that language.
