What is "auto coverage" feature? •
The Translate My Store (TMS) app offers two types of translation: "Basic" and "Advanced".
"Basic" translation provides automatic translation in real-time, but the resulting text cannot be edited.
"Advanced" translation offers a range of tools, such as manual translation, AI & Autopilot, import & export, and visual editing, which allow for fully editable translations.
"Advanced" translation is more flexible and sophisticated, it is the preferred translation type to use. However, users may sometimes not be able to complete translations for all languages in time, resulting in untranslated portions of the website. To address this issue, the "auto coverage" feature is available, which uses "Basic" translation to cover any untranslated text on the website.
If languages in "advanced" type are not fully translated yet, you can enable the "auto coverage" feature by going to "languages" page >> click "More actions" in the language tables (shown in the 2nd screenshot below) >> choose "Enable auto coverage".
Once enabled, the "auto coverage" feature will cover any untranslated text with the "Basic" translation, allowing website visitors to view translations for all text. Once the translations are completed using the tools available in the app, the "auto coverage" feature can be turned off at any time.
