Why is the currency conversion not being applied to my store?

There are a few common problems that can prevent our app "Hextom: Translate and Currency" from converting the prices of your products for you. Here is what they are, and how you can fix them:


1. The Setup steps have not been completed.

At the top of the Regions/Currencies page in our app, you can find the short setup steps that must be completed for the currency conversion to work.

  1. Press the "Copy" button beside the value shown in step three in our app (Refer to the image in Step 2)
  2. Press the blue "settings" button to go to your Shopify Admin page

  3. Press the "three dots" button in the currency display section of the settings page that appears, then select the "change currency formatting" option

  4. Paste the copied value into the field that appears, and click "Save".

After following the steps, go back to the app and click on the "Check your setting" button. This will allow our app to check if the currency setup was completed. You should see a popup indicating success if the configuration has been completed successfully.


2. The App's Theme extension is not enabled

In order for the currency conversion feature to function, our app's theme extension needs to be enabled in your theme settings, as shown below.

  1. Go to your Shopify admin >> online store >> Themes >> customize.

  2. Select the "App embed" on the leftmost part of the page then enable the "Translator Core Snippet"
  3. Click the "Save" button on the top right part of the page


3. Your theme is removing our app's HTML

Some themes have started removing HTML from the price display. This means the HTML you added during the setup, which our apps needs for this feature to function, is removed. You can solve this by removing the "| strip_html" from your theme's price display, as shown below
