Why is the selector not redirecting customers to the correct currency/language automatically?

The first thing to check, is to make sure the the redirection is enabled in our Hextom: Translate and Currency app.

Please note that automatic redirection is only available on the Basic plan or above.

  1. To check whether it's enabled, head over to the "Selector" page.

  1. The type of automatic redirection available depends on the selector's configuration. For example, if the selector is set as "Currency & Language Selector" then both Currency and Language redirection will be available. If the selector is set as "Currency Selector" then only currency redirection will be available.


  1. Kindly make sure Selector Default Configuration is selected. If you have just enabled it now, you can click on "Save" and then test the feature.

If redirection is already enabled but not working correctly, then another common problem is that there is a conflict between the redirect form our app, and the one from Shopify Markets.


You can disable the Shopify Markets redirect by following these steps below:


1. Head over to your Shopify Admin >> Settings >> then Markets

  1. Then click on "Preferences"

  1. Take a look at the slider buttons adjacent to the Country/region and Language redirection. Please make sure that these options are disabled:
