Why is the selector not redirecting customers to the correct currency/language automatically?
Automatic language and currency redirection will ensure that your customers see their language and currency right away when they visit your store, without needing to configure any settings.
If you have the problem where your customers are not being redirected to the correct language and currency automatically, there are two common causes to this that are easy to fix. In this guide we will look at both of these potential issues, and walk you through how you can solve them.

Check the App's setting to ensure that the redirect is enabled
The first thing to do, is to make sure the the redirection is enabled in our Hextom: Translate and Currency app.
Please note that automatic redirection is only available on the Basic plan or above.
- To check whether it's enabled, head over to the "Selector" page of our app
- The type of automatic redirection available depends on the selector's configuration. For example, if the selector is set as "Currency & Language Selector" then both Currency and Language redirection will be available. If the selector is set as "Currency Selector" then only currency redirection will be available.
- Ensure that "Default Currency" is set to "Customer's geo location based" if you want region/currency redirection, and make sure that "Default Language" is set to "Customer's browser language" if you want the language redirection to be enabled.
Ensure that Shopify's Redirect is disabled
If redirection is already enabled but not working correctly, then another common problem is that there is a conflict between the redirect from our app, and the one from Shopify Markets.
You can disable the Shopify Markets redirect by following these steps below:
1. Head over to your Shopify Admin >> Sales Channels >> Online Store >> Preferences
- Then scroll down to Automatic Redirection, ensure that both Country/Region and Language are both disabled, then hit save
