Why can't I find some metaobjects even after running a scan?
For Advanced Translations, running a scan is important to update the app's data of the store's translatable text. You may find that, on some occasions, there are missing metaobjects even after a scan.
According to the Shopify Developers Guide, metaobjects in Shopify aren’t automatically translatable. To make them translatable, you need to enable the Translatable capability when creating or editing a metaobject definition. After enabling this setting, translations for the metaobject’s content can be added via the Shopify admin or through custom apps, allowing the content to appear in multiple languages for customers.
To enable your metaobject definitions and entries as translatable:
- Navigate to Shopify Admin settings
Visit the Metafields and metaobjects tab

Scroll down and locate the metaobject definition you wish to translate

Within the Options section, ensure Translations are toggled as enabled.


Click Save, and then visit the Translate and Currency App to run a new scan for the store or the "Metaobject" category. Once the scan completes, the newly translatable metaobject should then be visible in the app.
