Getting Started With Currency Conversion

Currency conversion allows your customers to shop on your store in their local currency, improving your store's reach. This guide will help you get started with our app's currency conversion tools, so you can allow your customers to Shop your store in their local currency.

Currency Conversion through Shopify Markets

Currency conversion works a little differently if you are using Shopify Markets and Shopify Payments on your store. If you are using Shopify Payments, then the best way to set up your currency conversion is through your Shopify Market settings. Currencies converted through Shopify Markets will have the currency conversion applied on the checkout page of the store, while the currency conversion from our app does not apply to the checkout page. You can tell if a currency is converted through either Shopify Markets our our app by looking at the Regions/Currencies page in our app, and look to see if a currency is "managed by app" or "managed by Shopify," as shown below. If all the currencies are "managed by Shopify" then you don't need to take any further action, and you can control all your currency conversion settings through your Shopify Markets settings.

Initial Setup

Our app's currency conversion requires some initial setup steps, as shown at the top of the "Regions/Currencies" page in our app, as shown here:

You will need to use the the provided code to replace the currency formatting settings found in your Shopify Admin, as shown below

Adding a new region/currency to your store

To add a new region/currency to your store with our app, you can use the dropdown menu at the bottom of the page, as shown here

Editing your currency conversion rate and other settings

You can use te "Edit" option in our app to change your currency conversion rate, rounding options and display format of the currency
