Can the app translate the text in URLs?

Our App uses Shopify's native translation feature and Shopify does support translated URL handles for products, collections, blogs, articles, and pages. Therefore, our app can translate URL handles.

For example, the URL handle of the product below is test-pink-shirt.

To translate it into your alternative languages, you can use our app's Manual Translation by using Keyword Search or AI Translation tool by using the Advanced Filter.

For this example, we will be using the Manual translation to translate the URL handle specifically.

1. Go into the "Manual Translation" tool located in the sidebar and select "Find by keywords search".

   

   
   

2. Select the target language. In this case, we will translate the URL for the German language. The translation status should be set to "All".

   

   
   

3. Input the original text of the text you want to translate. In this case, the original text of the URL handle is test-pink-shirt. Then click "Find Text to Translate".

   

   
   
4. Manually input the translation on the right-hand box and click "Save" to save the translation.

5. Upon viewing the store and switching the language to German, the URL handle is already translated.
